Damn, seems like a whole heap a imposter albums out deyah... Collie Buddz is due to release his second album any day now and floatin' round pon de web has been this sham album called On The Rock. Many of the tracks are from Collie's early works with Harper Digital, done well before his 2007 self titled debut album. Some a dem tracks are in fact new tunes, due to be released shortly- but what gives disya one away, is the fact dat dem put C'Daynger's Bun Down D System on it- WHHAAA?!?! It's a big tune still, massive even, but not Collie's. They do both hail from Bermuda's Harper Digital crew, and C'Daynger should ifficially release something - when is that mixtape comin' out breda? Well anyway, Collie has dropped a few new tunes, that aren't included in dat fakey On The Rock. Par Wid I Mon, Now She's Gone and Serious have been posted for free download on Collie Buddz' MySpace page, follow da links below, for a taste of algo auténtico!
Collie Buddz - Par Wid I Mon (2009)
With his West Coast Tour set to start on the 14th of April and the new album 'bout to drop, here is the latest from Harper Digital's Collie Buddz. A softer sounding tune with nice zouk tones, lyrical content is a likkle paranoid - maybe all dat high grade got him sketched...
Bobby Kondor's Massive B label has just put out some serious scorchers... They have (finally) released on 7 inch Collie Buddz' Herb Tree and Hustle (Prison Oval Rock / Bob Dread/ Mus Come a Road Riddim) as well as a revamped version of the Abyssinians' Declaration of Rights Riddim featuring Chezidek, Khari Kill, King Kong and Burro Banton. Since Mr. Vegas' Mus Come A Road 7" single release last month on the A Team label, the Prison Oval Rock Riddim Version refixed by Rellee (on the b side) has been floatin' round... Here is a fresh new vocal version, brought to you by Collie Buddz, dis oneya named Hustle. The production of the instrumental track is virtually unchanged, just a likkle drop and boost here and deyah. Barrington's snippets are maintained and Collie's vocals have a raw freestyle flow to dem, nice lyrical content too- as he describes his experiences crossin' borders after havin' built up a rep for his tune Come Around - yes-I, another ganjaman anthem... True ya nah stop Collie, make it bun!
Bermuda's Harper Digital juss nah slack. Collie Buddz, Roachekilla and C'Daynger have been releasing a solid run of hot tracks (be sure to check their MySpace pages). C'Daynger AKA Trevor Corday has just released "Not A Thing Changed", fresh tune for the summer jams- nice bubble to it... Not feelin' it as much as "Never Give In", "Dirty Birds", "Dark Clouds", "High Grade" or "Bun Down D System", but nice tune still Iyah! Waiting on his "spring 2008 mix"- Proceed With Caution - hoping he will release it soon. Keep it blazin' Corday!
